Week 24: Puppet

This week's prompt had me stummped for a long time. Then it hit. I am the "Puppet" and the "Fear Puppet Masters" - Breast Cancer and COVID-19 are pulling strings - but my God is greater. He is the "Breaker of Strings" , mightier than those diseases. Conqueror of Fear and Darkness, Bringer of Light and Healing My Future-Holder.

Week 22: Stranded

Pookie had the misfortune of being stranded in airports whenever she chose to fly. It was like some weird fate...airlines strikes, airlines going out of business, airports closing, weather delays...

It always happened to her.

Week 21: Robot

These are the robots I've known and loved for years. From Gort's famous safe-word line, "Klaatu Barada Nikto"; the Jetson's maid, Rosie, who took no guff from anyone. Zooming foward to George Lucas' Star Wars characters C3PO and R2D2 - these robots were famous.

This day and age - I would settle for a Roomba that my cat(s) could ride.

Week 16: Blue

"Hap Easto! Hap Easto, Easto Bunny!"

The Three Ginks, Pookie & Popcorn would all be jumping on the bed Easter morning with bouquets of  blue grape hyacinth and dandelions.

Week 14 - Green

Indiana Spring is 50 shades of green. Plus the added pops of color with Redbud trees, the beautiful pinky-white dogwood and puffy white-green of flowering pear trees. Green grasses spring up through the older brownish green left over from winter...

Daffodils spring along the roadsides next to hyacinths. "Hunters" forage in the nearby woods for morel mushrooms.

Gazing out my window.

Week 11: Tower

The Three Ginks loved this ‘tower’ . ... until someone gets hurt...

The three Ginks had a marvelous Tower in their backyard. It could magically transform into a Pirate Ship, a Castle, the Empire State Building, anything their little minds could imagine...

Because they were pirates, ninja turtles, super heroes, acrobats, but most of all...

BOYS!

Water color, Tombow&Stampin’Up! Ink brushes, Micron pens on XL Multi media paper

I’m a week late with this, but hey, real life happens and this was a low priority on my projects list of things to do. It’s funny how the prompts spur your ideas and memories. The moment I saw the “ELF” prompt, I thought of the boys on Christmas Eve. Pookie was already living in England by the time this Christmas Eve scenario took place. We have the Three Ginks in their ‘Glow-in-the-Dark’ red striped pajamas, a green elf suit and a Mini-Santa all ready to remove packages from underneath the “Son of Monster” Christmas tree, which literally took up over half of the living room.

Week 9: Wave (November 23, 2012 - Black Friday)

[Wright's Beach, Sonoma County, Northern CA]

Mom and Dad's Farewell Road Trip

Just finishing my INKTOBER 52 Week 9 : Wave drawing. Sentimental. I think I’ll use this illustration in my memoir story that I wrote about this day, “Saying Goodbye To A Lost Loved One”. It was written as a writing class exercise 2 years ago, about the day my family scattered our parents’ ashes at Wright’s Beach, a family favorite spot growing up.

Week 5: Balloon (1/30 - 2/08)

Balloons are always festive. We usually celebrate birthdays with balloons. Here's a balloon bouquet for my sister Nancy, celebrating her birthday this week! Happy birthday Nancy with love from Twerp and your Sister Gulls
